nothing against any laydees on here but wtf is it with wives/girlfriends that they suddenly accept us playing poker and stop complaining when they get a cut of the winnings?
i realise that this is only a poker forum with mere mortals on it (well some of u are  ) but i couldnt find the forum where world renowned psycologists answer questions from fools like me  |

It's basic human nature, women seek security. Hence they like strong men, financially succesful men. This makes them feel safe and physically and financially protected.
They dislike gambling but when they see the rewards of poker they realize not only is it financially succesful but it also makes their man well... more manly.

As much as I hear women say they don't like big muscles, I never got more "attention" than when i was 190lbs of muscle.
And I see this with a lot of my friends that are big.
Chicks dig big strong guys
whenever I hear a girl say I don't like muscles, I say "B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T"

LoL...I'm building a home right now, and when I'm able to buy our appliances with cash, have 6 months of mortgages, cash...she doesn't talk when i play a 3 hour session.

women dig muscles, but not to the extent that like, bodybuilders have them. those are just gross.
and let's try to cut down the broad generalizations about women. not all women hate gambling.

I'm single at the moment and I live w/my grandma.... She tends to nag at me when I'm playing home games a few times a week but most often I'm in the money (even if it is making 5 bux on 2nd place as most of our buy-ins is $5) and I'm not into trouble. The guys I play with have been in trouble with the law and quite a few of them have been in jail so the way I see it that if it wasn't for poker they could be out on the streets getting into some kind of trouble. But anyways the way I see it is that my bills are paid or paid ahead and as long as that is kept up then it's all good.
