If you live in North America, Australia or New Zealand, forget it.
Western Europe is also going that way, but you can still use credit cards to fund your poker account that way.

coash: forget what?

Forget using your credit card.

That is, if your bank/credit card company is headquartered in North America. I've also heard that Australian banks (and New Zealand) do not usually authorize egaming transactions.

Default Move to the UK!

No probs over here in rainy old London!! Can deposit with any credit card, debit card or bank transfer or whatever ya like! Any bank or card you care to mention! On any site ya care to mention!

I'm limited, cos I only have a debit card, it's Switch, I think u only get them in the uk, so not all sites take it.... pokerstars! But Party, Noble and Pacific do.

Could get a credit card, but I don't trust myself with one...or to be more specific....my girlfriend.....

So Western Europe is still fine with egaming transactions, I guess.

But can you cash out your winnings and have them credited back to your card, Jiffman?

Yeah, apparently you can get it put straight back on your card, or you can get it transferred into your bank account, or receive a cheque in the mail.

I've never tried any of em tho! Only been playing four months and in that time I've not cashed out yet....which brings me to a question.....

When do you guys cash out - what, if any, advice do you have about it? I started with $50 on Party Poker, turned it into $150, then gradually lost it all again. Should I have cashed out my original $50, the whole lot, or just the profit? Or was it better to leave it in there and try and win more?

At the moment with Noble Poker I'm up to £138 (approx $280) from a £30 deposit, but I dunno if/when I should cash out!

And I've also heard that after you do cash out, some sites can treat you really badly - messing about with your account or payments, or even dealing you shit cards and bad beats! Surely that's not true is it??!

No it's not true.

Often after cashing out there follows a bad run, but I think this is more to do with overconfidence than "rigged" cards.

I cash out through wire transfer direct to my bank account.

I cash out at $1200 or greater and leave $700 online. It's enough to let me stand a poor run but not enough that I don't keep my concentration.

I'm fairly simplistic about my bankroll management, but it is definately a key part of playing successfully and others have written very useful posts in the past.
