Am I just thick or what?

I registered for a $1+.1 SnG (10 handed) on UB about twenty minutes ago. It entered me on the waitlist at number 1. Cool, so I gotta wait.

It reaches ten people, but no tournaments starts. Then the numbers rise to about thirty odd. I start to think that maybe one of the other tables has to finish before we can start? So I go view a couple of others, but non are close to finishing. I look back at the waitlist, and the number of names has dropped (possibly by 10, couldn't swear to it) and my name is no longer there. I'm no longer registered.

I tried reading the UB FAQ, but it just says that the tournament should start "once everyone is at their seat"

Anyone experienced this before?

UB does have some SnG's now with more than 10 seats. My guess is you registered for one of those by mistake.

i dunno but, they changed their format. Before you opened a table (when it came up) and grabbed a seat before it filled up. Now you jsut get onto a waiting list, and it will seat you as soon as they open a new table, but they open new tables so rarely....

Their lobby software needs a lot of work... The dont refresh quick enough, so if you try to sit at a table that says 6/1) seated (for ring), you open it up to find its full, or empty. Its a real pain navigating their lobby. I dunno if its server overhgead or what, but it sucks.

i have experienced this exact thing before. the first step is to go to the in progress sit n gos and try and find your table. if you can't seem to find it you can email support with the approximate time you signed up and they will refund the buy in.
