Basically till I'm done.

And if I'm not winning, I leave. If the game is juicy enough, I stay. If I think I have good EV, I stay. If I have to go eat dinner, I leave, and come back and find another game with good EV.

Do a quick search here on "stop wins" for info on this.

Haven't you ever noticed that soon after you sit down and get up x amount of money then plattoe? It's like the table has you figured out or something. Of course you don't want anyone to figure you out but I'm just saying. You will know if your out matched and should get out but of course if it's juicy stay for as long as possible. A lot of times I find myself staying at a table too long when all I'm doing is just beating the rake. While it's good experience and or for working off a bonus I'm kinda wasting my time. If I plattoe I'm switching tables.

Word of advice... if you don't know how to spell a word, at least just use it once, that way you can pass it off as a typo.

But, no, I've never noticed a plateau. If you can mix up your play enough, this shouldn't be a problem. But if you only show down monster hands and your opponents catch on to that... then yeah, fifteen minutes a table, tops.

If i double my buy-in i usually stop, learnt after a number of occiasions where i've doubled it and continued to play, only to give most of it back...

otherwise i just play until i'm bored, or becomes obvious that i'm not going to do as well as i could at another table...

I think the plateau concept may be all mental.

After how many hands dealt do you notice this? 20, 100, 300?

Becuase I don't know any different, I will assume you are talking low to mid limit games. Online, players pop in and out of games so frequently that I think you will always have enough "fresh meat" at the table that doesn't have you figured out.

Also, many of them don't even pay attention to what/how the other players are playing to even be able to figure you out. Maybe you are changing your game to try and counter how you think other players are playing you differently? This could be what is throwing off your game.

Oh, you are talking about the plateau coming from other players recognizing your playing style and not the software, right?

On average I don't play more than 1000-1200 hands in a session. I cant concentrate too hard after that.

Yes, 2/4-5/10 limit. I would say 100+ hands but I'm not saying this happens all time. In fact it only happens every so often. Sometimes you have the same group of people at one table for a long time. I usually play the short handed ring games so I think it can be easier for someone to figure you out. True, some people online don't pay attention which is good. Still, I mix it up where and when I raise, re raise or check raise or just smooth call then bet out right, even play a trash hand and even raise with it to the showdown even if I lose so everyone knows I'm not always playing the best hand. Also I'm not impatient when I get a run of bad cards where I'm getting blinded to death. I give it a chance to get my fair share of good starting cards to play. Even then the pateau happens sometimes.

Yeah 1000-1200 hands for me (2 table max) is an 8 hour day. Right now I'm playing at least 40 hours a week and see like 20k hands a month. With that said I see all kinds of pattern/streaks like this plateau thing I'm talking about.
