I would have picked brilliant until I won that $1400 PL omaha tourney having essentially never played the game before. That was definitely luck, and the brilliant people didn't stand a chance as I apparently sold my soul while drunk or something.
So for one tourney I'd take luck (but for a career I guess skill).
