Default Be careful where you play

We all currently have a max table limit we are playing. Of course if those tables are full then you scout out lower limit tables to play at. My max is $5/10 even though I have ventured higher which is actually good for you to do once in a while. It will make you feel more confident at the table you normally play at and give you good experience. Anyhow be careful at the max table you normally play at. You will encounter guys who normally play at higher limit tables who are scouting for a lower limit table to play at and it might be yours. If you wonder why sometimes the limit you play at is really hard, that could be the reason. I'm just telling you guys this since I have noticed it many times. I would see these same guys at tables more than one limit above my max. Now that I write this it might be a good idea to play one level below your max as a buffer.

but you would still have people from higher limits wouldn't you?

I play 5/10 and 10/20 but if there isn't a good game going I play 1/2-3/6, hell if I'm bored I'll even play .25/.50 of a game like 7 stud hi/lo or razz.

You play at a limit that is within your skills and your bankroll, not theirs. What makes these higher limit players any better than you? Nothing, unless you've seen them play better than you. Notice them, Notice their play, and adjust your game accordingly.

Always play with your limits. Unless you want to gamble and take a shot at a higher limit, but if you want to keep your BR (and this is experience talking), don't.

Hmmm, it seems to me once you go past $2/4 and then $5/10 things are different. $10/20 and up seems to be more about anything else than the cards. If it weren't any different like you say and you can just adjust your game then I assume your playing above $5/10 all the time since you can make more money?

re-read my first post carefully, If I can't find a good game then I'll play 1/2-3/6. hell sometimes I can win more in a 1/2 game than I can in a 5/10

Its all about game selection. I have a bunch of total Super fish on my UBuddy list, and I try to follow a couple of them every where. My favorite (southbay 111) now only plays playmoney, dammit. I followed him around for a week and took almost $40 off him alone, by myself, at .25/.50. I then followed him to .05/.10 and did about the same. Now hes just play money, while thats kinda satisfying, it really sucks, cause my broken ATM got fixed.

ITs all about GAME SELECTION. Find a good juicy game, and play in it. If I saw this fishy playing 10/20 all of a sudden, I would definatly consider sitting, even though its way above my bank. I'd observe his play for a bit, and then decide. This one guy in particular made playing against 8 other pros worth it.
