PokerTracker Goes SQL!!!
Its been in the works for a while, but Pat has finally finished it, PT is now SQL Compliant. PostgreSQL will allow larger single dbases (>200k hands) with faster access times, and easier Queries to be peformed on it (Bob, You'll love that function). Surprisingly, its not v3, but just a v2 patch. Expect v3 to be totally SQL, not MS Access based.

Two questions:
Will it cost more to new users?
Do you have to redownload PT or is it an automatic update?
thanks,

I don't think it's going to cost more, and the download is just a zip file which must be unzipped, then you're good to go.

Anyone have any clue when to expect v3? I think I may be getting close to breaking down and buying PT, but don't want to buy it only to have v2 come out a week later!

If he kept SQL in v2, I would assume v3 is a ways off. And even if v3 comes out tommorow... v2 would still work the same wouldn't it? No reason to fear v3 release.
Back to SQL, unless you have some seriously large dbases (>250k total), I would hold off switiching over to SQL right now. None of the add-on apps seem to support SQL right now, and it seems its still kinda buggy in PT right now.
Let Pat work on the bugs before making the switch. And with GT+ being open source, its either going to be only a few days or a few months before GT+ supports SQL.

Is there a similar program that works well with Prima sites and is free?

PT just added Prima and ladbrokes support. But again, you only get 1,000 hands free.
Trust me, PT is worth the Price.
