Hey guys I just signed up at BODOG to check it out. They are giving a first time deposit bonus of 20% so I put $500 in. Well to my surprise after setting up my real money account there was $600 in it! Automatic bonus no hands needed.

I haven't tried, but I didn't put in any code and never asked for it. I assume I have to play X amount of hands before I can cash it though. I haven't really looked into it, although when I got this from Pacific I was able to cash it out.

I'm actually a little disappointed in the site itself, I hear a lot about it and was expecting a bigger player base and most games are under .50/1, there is very little game selection.

I was forced to play .25/.50 NL (I hate NL online) and a little shorthanded 3/6 5 card stud.

Actually the S&G structure is very nice, start with 1000 and 5/10 blinds! It was 5 handed at 30/60 blinds I hadn't played a hand and had like 865 chips still.

You generate points based on pot rake, so the bigger the pots, more rake, I think it is 3 points per buck to clear.

O8b players are pretty bad, I scopped a nice pot with AAQ2 vs Q923 and KJ95 all one suit last night.

I think you can play on the bonus, but can't withdrawal it until you clear it.

I checked out BODOG over a month ago and thought the graphics were pretty lame and as Steve said not much traffic, especially the limit games. Might be worth making the deposit, play some games and leave.

i've played there some, i have to say i like the software, but in my opinion there are way too many bad beats. More than some other sites. it could just be me though

remember most of their base comes from the casino and sportsbook so they will chase a lot of junk, they're just gamblers.
