NLH is the strekiest form of poker. So you can expect big swings. That's why many pros don't play it.

I don't consider myself qualified to give much poker online poker advice. Without knowing you, and based on the limited info no one will be able to give effective advice. Most, but not all, who answer such questions on forums like this are "legends in their own mind" and have no biz giving poker advice either.

Now having said that here's my two cents: As a general rule bet big(the pot) when you feel you have the best hand to drive weaker hands out. When your stack is being eaten you will have to play more aggressively, but don't wait untill your almost out (the table will read you like a book) Start your more aggressive play while you still have enough chips to make the table respect you.

Good luck. IMO online poker can be a tough nut to crack!

How many tournaments have you played in? How much are you buying in for? what site? what kind of tournament? *never* is a long time.

even when i have the best hand on the flop i always get rivered and knocked out!!

*always* is a long time. Most of the time when you have the best hand on the flop, you win. Post a hand where you had the best hand on the flop but lost please.

Then theres times where i dont have a hand for so long the blinds just eat my stack!

You have to look for spots to make bets. What hands are you opening UTG? BTn? other positions? What are your stats?

If anyone has any advice for me that would b great..

I dont know about strekiest but mtt's with lots of players are high variance if that's what you mean? You dont have big swings really. You put in your money and your maximum down swing is one buyin. Oh wait! you mean no limit hold em is high variance generally? cash isnt. sng/MTT/hyper/Turbo are. ALL pro players player NLHE. 100% of them. I dont know where you got the idea from that they dont play it. Most of them also play PLO - which is even higher variance.

    Then please, dont give any.

There is a ton of effective advice to give. Even based on the limited info given.

Most, but not all, who answer such questions on forums like this are "legends in their own mind" and have no biz giving poker advice either.

Have you seen their stats? How do you know this? It sounds like opinion rather than fact.

Now having said that here's my two cents: As a general rule bet big(the pot) when you feel you have the best hand to drive weaker hands out.

Wrong. When you have the best hand you dont want to drive weaker hands out. You want them to call or raise.

When your stack is being eaten you will have to play more aggressively, but don't wait untill your almost out (the table will read you like a book) Start your more aggressive play while you still have enough chips to make the table respect you.

You dont play aggressively to gain respect. Play aggressively to get more chips. Thats all you should ever be doing in a tournament.

Good luck. IMO online poker can be a tough nut to crack!
OP. The most important thing you need to learn about is bankroll management. then you will be able to handle the swings.

    Good Luck at the tables!

Its not the best hand that winds its the best player. Analyze the players see how they fold what they bet how often they bet and then take them down the cards mean nothing. I.E. Out of position raise from a chipleader late in a tournament is most likely just collecting the blinds and antes. snap call his raise and come over him dont even pay attention to the cards you have act as if you have a pair of bullets. Or you flopped the nuts. Represent a flush, A, or striaight. And show once in a while you bluffed then when you get a monster and reraise the same player goodbye he falls for the bait.

lmao you must really suck at NLHE. It's not streaky at all, look at pro's like Jason Mercier who cashes and makes the final table in nearly every tournament he plays. Obviously it's harder to do that online, because your not as deep stacked, and faster blinds so you are forced to move in with weaker hands.
