Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club is guaranteeing the prizepool of the £700 + £70 Nottingham leg of the PokerStars UKIPT at a cool £1 Million. The tournament takes place on 11th - 16th April 2012 and will now have three Day 1's, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Dusk Till Dawn owner, Rob Yong, explains the background to the £1M Guarantee;

We had a meeting with PokerStars this week to finalise the plans for the UKIPT Nottingham leg. PokerStars online satellite qualifiers have been generating more players than last year and we discussed the potential of an additional Day 1. Last year, we had 1058 players but unfortunately had to turn some players away and deal 10 handed because we only have a 50 table capacity. Increasing the number of Day 1's of the UKIPT means extra costs and workload for PokerStars, however they have still decided to add an extra Day 1 on Wednesday 11th April. This ensures that every player has the opportunity to play this event and we can still deal the tournament 9 handed. To give the best chance of all Day 1's being a success, I have agreed with PokerStars that Dusk Till Dawn will guarantee the UKIPT Nottingham prizepool at £1 million, I believe one of the casinos in Spain did something similar last year for one of the Euorpean tours. This is the third year that the PokerStars UKIPT have chosen Dusk Till Dawn as a venue on their tour and to celebrate 3 years of working together, I cannot think of anything better than a £1M Guaranteed prizepool which will be both a record for Dusk Till Dawn and the PokerStars UKIPT. The poker community have supported us tremendously over the last 5 years and I am confident that they will get behind this £1M Guarantee.
