I used to like Poker Academy - but it seems that the company is defunct.

You still might find a place to download it from and try it.
There are others but too much playing for no money, no matter how skillfull you become
is guaranteed to let you adapt some very bad habits.

My advice: Register at a decent site (like 888 or Titan) and jump right in playing no-money-down
tournaments. Still it's without money - but you can get rewards.

Above all: Get the feeling. Learn how the sharks can tear you to bits in half an hour or less.
    Hold'em (Especially NL) IS BRUTAL.

Once familiar with whatever site you choose: Invest $20 and play micro games: $0.50/$0.25
    or less.

Play every day at least for an hour and read the top 10 important books on Hold'em.

    PLUS: Play tournaments.

    Good luck!

There are hundreds of poker strategy sites out there. I own bluffaway.com which showcases strategy articles all the time. If you want a tutor, check out google and type in "Poker Strategy Tutorials" and you'll have about 20,000,000 results. Good luck.
