    Default Hmmm...Does Size Really Matter?

    Hello.
My nick on 888poker its Gonzo's Quest (just like slot on NetEnt)
I often play the local MTTs and I keep track of a mental snapshot of how I ran in the Poker tournament overall.

    The games I'm referring to are usually from $60 - $120 and average 6 - 10 tables.

I have come to the conclusion that I seem to overwhelmingly do better in the tournament when I'm right around 10m hitting the final table. ( Yes I prefer to use m).WeArePoker - great game.

When I hit the final table as chip leader, it usually seems I get sucked out on more.

Any of you Live MTT grinders out there see this?

It's not that you are getting sucked out more, it's your mentality. When you're short stacked you'll play super tight and wait for the best spot. When you are big stack, you can afford to call, so you do, and you play more pots with much more chance of getting busted or loosing flips.

Yep agree with George here and people are often scared of the big stack which is useful but I have on a number of times reached a strong chip lead late on in the tournament and lost it due to 1) thinking everyone will always fold the raises 2) Raising too much playing to many hands 3) paying too much attention to the leader board. 4) Callling amounts that are large (but not relative to my stack) to bust a short stack. I think big stack is the toughest to play and also the most enjoyable I definately need to remain tight when I play big stacks and it sounds like maybe this is true of yourself. There is no conspiracy aces do win 80> of the time whatever your stack . I guess a suckout is worse at the later stages of a tourney as it is usually for a very large pot and therefore more memorable.
