people say all the time they "knew" they were ahead or they "knew" the opponent had AK or only a small pair....rarely is there 100% knowing, and I give more credit to intuition and psychic ability than almost anybody.

There are too many variables missing in oder to answer your question correctly. How many players were at the table (was it a 6 person/table tournament, full ring game with 9 or 10 etc etc??). What was your stack size relative to the blinds and what was your opponents? What was your profiling of your opponent (tight, tight aggressive, loose passive, maniac, etc)?, who else acted in the hand and what was their position?, what was the position of your opponent?, what does your opponent think of your play/how does he/she profile you and how does his actions change as a result of your position? what is your opponents awareness of the other players at the table and how does this affect his range of holding?

200/400 sounds like an early stage of the tournament. if you are getting all in, assuming you feel that AJ has a 70% or greater chance of being a favorite, you should know that you are risking your tournament life to build a stack early. hitting quads doesnt matter....there are a number of ways in which his hand will beat you
