and people say I play well/good for a fresh player. But I keep making stupid mistakes that makes me lose money on a per hour rate.
I have a severely limited bankroll, and I really really want to get better at the game. I am willing to put in 18 hours per day.
My question is, is it normal to make stupid mistakes when you are just a beginner?(I started playing February 2011, before that I have never played for money before, just for chips with friends)
Please help.

Of course it is normal to make stupid mistakes! My baby is just learning how to crawl and we set him on the bed and he just crawls right off and hits his head on the floor. Ouch! Soon enough he'll learn that you can't just crawl right off the bed or it'll hurt when you hit the floor (either that or we'll end up with a vegetable with brain damage...). Lol. But anyway, my point being, if you keep paying off players with your mediocre pairs or whatever then soon enough you will learn when to call, when not to, how much to bet when you got it, etc.
My advice to you though, if you have a very limited bankroll, don't be playin in stakes that'll kill you in one round! say you got 100$.. i'd play in like 10 $10 tourneys or sit and goes and try to build up a bankroll. or just play like .10/.25 cent stakes or even cheaper until you learn to play better. Nothing sucks more than going for the glory and pissing your whole bankroll away on a few games. That's what i did after winning about 30k playing great poker at medium stakes. I stepped it up to the $100, $215 dollar buy in tournaments and in a flash my B-roll was gone (and my wife dam near left me
) .... anyhoo, you get my point. Hope this helped!

I just started a while ago too, and although I can consistently make money, about $2/h on the $.01/$.02 no limit Holden tables @FTP, make a couple mistakes and I'm right back to breaking even. The other day I played like an idiot and went from $50 to $34 and now I have to crawl my way out of it. I gotta stick more strictly to my strategies now, and watch for those bloody OESD and flush draws more often... I always miss it and let those guys get away with it too often!
EDIT:
I won't post links cause I don't know if you can do that here, but find some information on good bankroll management in poker, and some specific poker strategies, where they detail how to play pre flop, post flop, etc, for that particular strategy rather than general play. I use short stack strategy to make money without losing much at the same time.

If your intention is to help another player it's okay to post links imo

Another quality post by Knight...
Aside from that, BR management is very important, but when you say stupid mistakes, finding the root cause of those mistakes is key. You can read all you need/want on tactics, strategies, ect, but if you mind isn't right when you sit at the table, then it's probably not going to end well.
Can you be more specific as to what kind of errors you feel you're making? That would be a good place to start helping you over come the issue.Trons
