    Default betting patterns

    im not a very good player at live poker. i know the basics but not much i want to know i do i start to see peoples betting patters to determine what their possible hands are

    The short and sweet version is to look at how they played the hand and see if it makes sense given the player and the board... if the betting follows a logical pattern odds are that the person has what they're representing... if it doesn't than a bluff or slowplay is more likely... the problem is that weird betting patterns can indicate either a trap or a total bluff... that is where you need to factor in the opponent's hand range and any reads you have on the player to determine which it is...
