Default Tourney bust on hand 2. Would love to hear thoughts

So there's a local free WSOP qualifier series near me that happens every monday - league format, accumulation of points, etc. I've only been maybe 5 times, but every time I've ended up at the final table, and top 3 every time but once.

Last night I went up there, and got busted on hand 2. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on how they would play this hand. Here's what went down:

Blinds are 25/50, my stack is about 2000. I've only played one hand, and I won that one with a C-bet. I'm in the small blind and look down at AQ suited (hearts). I raise to 150, and get 4 calls.

Flop comes Q-K-10 rainbow - the K is of hearts. Action is on me, and I know at least 2 of the callers are weak players and will probably fold to any bet - the other two are unlikely to make a huge move on me without the nuts because they don't know how I play. I make a C-bet of about 400 (pot is about 600). Three folds, the button just calls. I put him on a King, maybe KJ.

Turn is a 10 of hearts giving me two pair and a flush draw. However, since I think my opponent has a K I don't want to get to showdown, so I decide to represent a 10 - I figure if he doesn't fall for it, I can still get any heart or ace on the river. I bet 600.

He pauses for a a minute or two, looking at the 10. He then says "I have a feeling that was a bad card for me." I'm immediately sure he's showboating. After another minute he shoves all-in - he's got me covered.

At this point I know my hand is beat, but I invested well over 50% of my stack into this hand, and decide that I have enough outs to call. Wouldn't you know it, he turns over 10-J. A black ace comes on the river, but of course that was no help. I go home after less than 20 minutes of play =(

Looking back at this hand, I'm thinking I should have checked when I saw the 10, as I put him on a king but even that had me beat. I probably should have tried to get the free card to make my flush on the river - but as you can see it was an Ace and I probably wouldn't have gotten away from that.

Aside from that mistake, was it also a mistake to call his all-in? I figured if I folded and left myself with less than 15 BB I would be having to make a desperation move soon anyway, so I felt pot-committed.

Thoughts from vets would be very helpful.

Big pot way too soon.....hand two I would have folded to that shove. A check on turn probably a better play. Poker is long term, why bust after 2 hands?

At the turn of KQTT you're up against AK,AJ,KJ,KT,QJ,JT,JJ,TT,J9s,98s. You're not going to get enough folds at the turn, don't even try. Check behind, your hand has some showdown value on A, Q, J, or heart on the river. Even then, don't go wild with your hand as you're not drawing to the nuts.

I didn't do the math, but first instinct says you gotta call.

Raise more prelfop IMO, with two limpers in the pot I would raise to around 250 or 300. This should take the action down to HU. Also as said turn is a check or bet/fold.

What is the range that you put him on when he shoved the turn? How much to call? How does your hand hold to his range?

Oops, nice catch nabeshin! Raise more!

Limping here is fine as well. Your out of position, with few reads on anyone, and AQs is a hand that plays well multiway.

I think I stated all of this in the original post - I put him on some kind of King. It cost me the rest of my stack to call, which was less than 1000. I had already invested more than that in the hand.
My pair of queens with a nut flush draw/ace draw is obviously behind the hand I put him on, but has outs to win. Unfortunately he had trip tens meaning my ace outs were actually no good. An ace actually did come on the river interestingly enough.

Also, I'm not sure that I want to get heads up in this position. my goal is to cheaply build a pot so that if I hit something huge I can take down a huge sum. so i only invest a small portion of my stack (3 BB) and the pot gets massive quick. works out great if I connect, and if I don't connect I fold. unfortunately this was a pretty tough spot.

    @elpsteel

I know that you mentioned the info before, I was hoping for a more written out form of the full range you put him on, and some percents so that I could run numbers on call/fold. As far as busting on 2nd hand in tourny... I have busted out 1st hand many times to some sick draws. However, with less than a set this early in tournament I am not calling the turn.
