    Default What is better/more profitable?

Would it be better to play four tables at a lower limit, or one table at a high limit. In other words, four .02/.05 tables or one .10/.25 table?

    Depends on your +BB/100 hands.

if you are winning +4BB/100 hands at 5NL and 4 tabling then that is roughly--.80/hr
if you are winning +2BB/100 hands at 25NL (harder game) thats-- .50/hr

If you play more tables you are less likely to bluff and play more solid poker IMO

Well, I have beaten the .02/.05 tables, but lately I have been getting beat out by complete fish who appear as if they do not know what they are doing. I don't have the bankroll to support four tables of 25nl but I can definitely support one table of 25 or 50nl and lose a buy in or two. I just want to play with more quality players who follow more of the unwritten rules of poker. Plus, I would feel like I'd have more of an advantage by being much more observant considering its only one table. Would this be a good move or a bad one?

Well... Not only does it depend on your comparable win rates, but it also depends on your standard deviation per 100 hands. You really have to combine the 2 to see What would be more profitable. But assuming your Wr /100 hands and SD/100 are both adequate enough to play either level, then you have to look at your $/hr win rate. Yes, the fabled $/hr. Not bb/100 or $/100, but $ per hour as Prof said. It's the only way to compare different levels with different amount of tables.

So the only way you can figure it out is to check to see if you have the bank to play both, and if you do, then which is producing the highest winrate. But the thing that gets me, is you don't have enough to play more than one table at the higher rate do you? IF this is true, you are playing WAY outside your bankroll, and are practically guaranteed to bust out. You should have enough bank to play at least 10 (w/ 100bb buyin) tables at once. If you don't, variance alone will overcome any skill you may have.

    More fish = good thing.

I'm pretty sure at this point there aren't any rules left unwritten.

Start tables during busy times, they'll come to you more often.
