Online poker is a very different animal. Some can do it and some can't. I hear the Mike Matusow is a very good cash gamer, but he threw his laptop in his swimming pool after 4 months of playing online a few years ago. He just came back to it because he's sponsored by FTP now. Don't know how he's doing.

But, the point is that not everyone can play online. I think you seriously need to have grown up a gamer of some sort to play well online right off the bat. I think it's the largest reason why so many people of my generation are succeeding online. We've spent the last 15-20 years of our lives playing video games and interactive computer games. Yeah, there was money involved, but when I started, I almost forgot about the money half an hour into it and was just trying to "beat the game."

Just my $0.02.

Hey Steve, what limits do you play nowadays online? When you play, do you just play ABC poker, or do you have a more agressive or passive style that works well for you? Just wondering, I have heard of a lot of people making a living off online poker, and I just wanted to know what type of strategy they use.

Interesting theory alex...knew all those online all-nighters trying to play test D&D software would pay dividends at some point.

HA! D&D software.... geek!. LOL.

!0% are winners, and everybody who posts here iare winners eh? Well, why do you think that is so? We are winners because we study the game. Very few of us play in the same game consistently, so yeah, we could EACH be the 1/10 winners out there. There are some rookies here (I'm still new to the game, only been playing 36+ months) who are currently losers, and they will eventually be winners by studying the game.

How many hands of you played stock? 1k, 2k? If you are a consistent live winner, and can't post a win online over 100,000 hands, then I will belive your claim it is rigged. 10k is just a learning curve in adapting to the new environment.

Just because you can make a profit from poker, does not mean it's not rigged. I think many pro's and semi pro's are dillusioned that everything is fair because they win money.

Is online poker rigged? Maybe. Can you beat online poker? Yes.

I really don't think anyone here understands the opposite points of views. The losers say online poker is rigged, the winners say they are wrong and are just making excuses. The winners think the losers have no clue what they are talking about because they are losers at the game.

The winning players over compensate by blindly saying "No, online poker cant be rigged", "you just sucK", etc. When really, they have no clue.

I have seen some very weird stuff happen, but I really don't care because I make tons of money no matter what.

Of course we see weird stuff...

In 5 years of online poker, you can play more hands than Doyle Brunson and John Bonnetti total of hands played in their entire live carreer!!!!

Of course I exagerate it, but I'm pretty sure the total of hands played online by all regular posters here his greater than those 2. Some of us play near 500 hands per hour... hi Bob, hi JK...

Ask John and Doyle about the weird stuff they saw at the poker table in the last 50 year!!!!

KJ
