Default My bad luck today (and i am not talking about bad beats)

Today I was playing a $100 freeroll at noble poker, just wanting to try their program out. I was playing extremely well (with a little luck). 500 players at the start, and then i got to the final table. I have the 2nd most chips at the table and after about 4 hands my power goes out! It was out for an hour and I placed 5th after apparently being blinded away. 1st prize was 25, but i had to settle for 4.50. Now that is really bad luck. At least It wasnt for a WSOP qualifying tourney or something like that.

i dunno...power wouldn't be a problem with a laptop. mine has a battery that lasts a few hours. but internet might be...only if you're using wireless though. otherwise i'd think it'd work. of course i know little about computers, so i may be very wrong here...

LOL! Jeez, bboy. He wasn't that pissed and he wasn't pissed about the money as much as the time he had probably invested to get screwed like that. More of a Glory death than anything.

That sucks. I've had that a couple of times in the mid stages of tournies. My laptop battery had about a 4-5 hour life.

Speaking of which, I'm staying PC until I make the move out West, but i recently sold my laptop. I'm thinking of the Inspiron 6000 or should I sell my hard drive, keep my 21" monitor and drop the extra $500 on the new Inspiron 9300 with a 17" monitor as opposed to the 15" and a much higher resolution.

On the way to the airport, in return for the ride, I was importing a bunch of music into her 6000 and I was impressed at the resolution, but i've heard a ton of bzzzz about the new 9300's.

What do you guys use and what do you think?
