Default 4 bet vs 5 bet.

IN limit, some places (most online sites) use a 4 bet cap, while some others use a 5 bet cap. I have never personally seen a 5 bet cap online, but I have always played with a 5 bet cap live, with no cap HU. Personally I prefer the 5 bet cap, especially on the flop for info purposes. "ok I know you raised me already, but what do you REALLY think of your Hand?"

What do you guys think?

If you are asking about the specific case and its implications, I couldn't tell ya, but, I have noticed a few rule difference online and live. There is even a rule(I can't think of it offhand) that PokerStars has on their site but does not impliment.

I never really thought about it, but I guess it would tell you a lot more on the flop. I remember is saw Interpoker go to 6 bets HU on the river I think, and I was like WTF???

I have seen tables where peo0ple have shared the nuts and the jsut kept raising until of them was alllin. The delaer smartly figured out what was goign on, and kept the stacks seperate, he even had the pot seperated before the turned up their cards. Nobody spoke up and said "Hey morons, Your gonna chop, give it up."

I would like it if online sites didn't cap at limit when it was HU. Every once in a while I run into a clown that doesn't know he's beat, or thinks his K high flush is the nuts, or doesnt' realize the board paired...I would love to keep re-raising. :good:

That's a good point. I never will cap without the best hand. If someone caps me, I would never want to make it another bet without the nuts.

Just last night, while playing on a site that goes to 6 bets heads up on the turn and river. I had the nut flush and some bozo had AA on the queen high board. He made it the full 6 on both the turn and the river. I wish it had been unlimited raises because this clown also did the same when the flop came AKQ and I held J10. He capped the flop, 6 bet the turn and river with A8.

I was playing at Foxwoods once in a 2/4 limit game and I had the nut straight. Some college guy kept re-raising me and I did it right back.

Then some other guy at the table blurts out, "You can keep re-raising when it's heads up." I didn't say anything, but in my head I said, "I KNOW JACKASS! SHUT UP!"

After the guy said this I think it made my opponent think because he stopped re-raising. Aruuurrgh, I played it so cool too!
