Default Expected No Limit Profit?

I know we've had this discussion in terms of limit that a good sustainable rate is about 3BB/100, now how do you guys determine what a good no limit rate is? Since theoretically you could win a lot of money on hands where you have the best hand whereas in limit you can only win a set amount. Just wanting to know your guys thoughts about this. Thanks
(As well as PL hold em)

Default determine rate..

You have to use PT to measure it.

On loose tables (45% preflop) expect 7-9 bb/100 (bb=2* big blind)
at 35% preflop this goes to 2-3 bb/100

The variance is 200-300bb - whatever the preflop. For some odd reason the variance on winnings is pretty "invarient". This can be alarming. If you're playing 0.5/1 $600 swings to make $6 can test you.

If you multitable you divide your variance by root (number of tables). Say you do nine tables then the variance drops to 60-100bb. - This is easier to live with.

You should note that rakeback and reloads can add 5bb/100.

Steve might disagree here but I think the variance and win rate between Limit and NL is pretty similar - given equally bad opponents on both games. The source of the variance is different. In limit you can't block ppl out and they can call you down with outsiders- and this happens over a lot of hands. In NL the variance tends to originate from two or three bad/good hands (i.e being rivered or getting a poor call).

I've found that I get generally 2x my limit rate in no limit. So if you usually make 3xBB/100 it'd be 6xBB/100. This could be because I'm a better no limit table. But I tend to think that the bad players will lose a huge amount more often to you then they will get lucky and win one from you. These huge amounts of wins and unlucky losses should end up winning you more money in no limit.

Don't forget Deme, variance is largely based on your playing style. Some players can have such a huge overlay on a table that they never book a losing day.

The "crushing" winrate is 10bb/100. The "easily beating" winrate is 5bb/100. I personally am at 6bb/100 over 30k hands at 1/2NL. Thats roughly $70 an hour.

Of course, the lower the stakes the more bb/100 you can achieve. I think its possible to beat 01./02NL for 100bb/100 consistantly. And I think its possible to beat 1/2NL for 20bb/100.

Not to be an ass here, but thats retarded. Maybe thats how it just worked out, but you can't base your win rate of one from the other. The betting structures are just too different to be comaprable.

Lets say you want to play a $200 Buy-in game. For NL, that would be 1/2. but for limit thats 5/10, give or take. Now at 3bb/100 for Limit, that $30/100. For NL at 6bb/100, thats $24/100. Stick to limit.

Just my trying not to be offense .02.
