Hi there first post!

Ok I will just present myself : I am mostly like some of the people here, ex-starcraft player. Yea going to Korea was a great dream but it when off pretty fast when I began to play on Wg-tour ( you realise that wgtour is not even considered hard!)

So, I when to Teamliquid.net, and I realise that there was a lot of people talking about poker ( a thread had about 500 post). So I read it and realise that some of the guy there were talking about making money big time ( rekrul, nazgul).

This was in november 1st.

So I began to read stuff on the internet, for 2 month. During the christmas break, I began to play.

Little point, I am 17 and still am , get 18 in 1 month!

So I got this 10 $ free from 7sultanspoker( prima site). First day, since I readed a shitload of stuff on the internet, because I am sooo scared to lose money, but I actually wanted to play. I played 1 table limit 5/10 cent for 1 hour. Next hour, 2 table. next your, finding limit boring, I gave it a shot at no-limit. WOW! THE REVELATION! In 2 week, I was at 200 $ playing 4 table 5/10 cent( I guess playing video game made my brain act fast[I read a lot on other poker forum that people are having hard time 2-3 tabling, wtf?]).

I increased to 0.25/0.5 no limit.. 3 weeks later, I was at 1300 $, playing 3-4 hour a day.

But I had to stop playing because I find it a little risky that I am not 18 and I had school.

So now, I am mostly just reading stuff about poker until I hit 18 ( 1 month). When I hit 18, here is my plan :
I am going to be a mega bonus whores for 1 month, until I dry up all of the bonuses. Afterward, I am going to play on Empire ( rake back!) 4 table and maybe party too. I don't know right now about party because I can only fit 4 table on my screen. I need another monitor!

So what I want to do, I will post my result on pokerledger.com, and I want to prove that one does not have to lose money when begining poker. So, when you see my result, I want you all to send me e-mail if I am losing any money so that I play under pressure ( it help me win)(Actually you don't have to do it )

Ok so here are my line :
Me 18 --> Bonus whores until I have ~1500-2000 $-->I buy myself a new Über computer( I have a old AMD whatever 333 mhz) + at least dual monitor setup.--> live off poker.

This is in theory what I want to do, and in theory I will life off poker. Few questions :
1- Anyone does something like I plan to do ? (Live off poker)
2- I am Canadian, any canadian living off poker here ? ( Kid[red] maybe?)
3- Anyone has a setup of multiple monitor?
4- Is pokerforum.org a cool place?

1 you dont have to wait until you are 18. you can start right now
2 i only have one monitor right now, but im in the process of getting 2 and all you need is a good video card that has dual dvi ports.
3 its very easy to live off poker. you should make sure you can make a steady income before you do anything drastic. also make sure you have your poker bankroll seperate from your bills and shit. try to have at least 2 months of bills/food/rent paid aside from your poker bankroll

You may want to try Eurobet for your second skin after empire, this site has a decent rakeback deal with them.

You really shouldnt need that great of a computer for it, a good connection and monitor should do it.

xxxdemexxx should have some good advice too.

Well yea I know I could do it right, but it's better that I finish my school session. Almost, my parent don't really agree with that, and I never used their credit card for anything. Anyway, I prefer that they do not get involved with my shit hehe.

About the second monitor, I read some place that if you have a second video card, It can be done. is it true?

I got like 3 old comp( 333 mhz) with decent card that can support 1600x1200. I could take this one (1600x1200 old ati rage) and add it to my new computer that will have a ati radeon x800 256 mb ( yea).

Go buy pokertracker asap.

you dont need a second video card per se, but you do need two video out ports.

i think you just need a $200 video card that suppots dual dvi. could get a decent comp for poker for under 500 prob. also if you are getting a dell 2001fp, look on 2+2 and other sites they run deals on those things all the time.

btw are you moving out or just playing poker for a job

im surprised you seem like you are new to poker, but actually have good goals and are going in the right direction
