Frustration defined
Just finished playing some 0.25/0.50 NLHE online
But this wasn't just any game. When I logged in the table was showing an average pot of $21 -- high, presumably I thought because there'd just been a monster showdown. As I'm in queue waiting...I watch the number climb...by the time I get on the table the average pot is 27 and change.
So then I get my seat at the table and try to figure out what in the hell is going on in this game that's driving pots so high.
...might be the guy with $140 whose standard play with top pair seems to be the all in button...
...might be that the standard pre-flop raise for whatever reason seems to be to $5 at this table...
...might be the OTHER guy with $130 that seems to think the all in button is his friend anytime two or three of the same suit flop...
Whatever the reason (our average table pot is now better than 31 bucks) I sit there watching these guys chuck around poker chips like they're potato chips and try hard not to drool on my keyboard as I wait for "the hand." Pocket kings...no action. Set of queens...$5...top two pair...nada.
I play close to 80 hands at the table while these swingers are there and get a whopping $2.50 profit to show for it. Admittedly, with the way money was flying this is far better than it COULD have been...but god only knows how long it will be before I find table conditions that ripe for a big score. Two years on this site and I have NEVER seen a $50 max buy-in NLHE table as consistently insane as this one...not even close.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!
