Ok, I know this is bit pointless thing to argue, but I was thinking about it.

I saw a guy call a 3x the BB raise when he was the big blind. After playing out the hand he won with his KJ and then said "BB special."

Well, personally I don't think this was a bb special. Once you call a raise and play out the hand, it no longer special. I think the bb special is when you get to see the flop from the bb with garbage and then you manage to win the hand.

Exaclty, A BB special is when you have a skip card and a reverse card in your hand, try to fold but the software won't let you, and then you flop five aces.

Any timeyou VPIP, then it can no longer be a BB special.

Of late, 93o has been my BB special hand.... twice in the same tourny 93o vs A9o (couple others folded during each hand) flop of 993. Twice... thats special....

Agreed...if you pay more than you're forced to, you're not getting much of a "special."

By contrast, down to the final two tables in my league tournament yesterday I got a free look with 52 in the BB and wound up with a full house...that was pretty special
