Default Gavin Griffin is an idiot

I searched for teampokerstars players, and that "pro" came up on the list so I clicked to watch his HU match against I don't know who.

200+20$ stakes

so he has a chip EDIT (GAVIN HAS A CHIP LEAD SQUEEZY) lead 1900 to 1100 playing good and in control.

blinds are 50-100 he's on the button. He goes all in just like that... Opponent calls. Gavin has KJ offsuit opponent AJ. Opponent wins the hand. 3 hands later.

SQUEEZY : Gavin had 1900.

Great move Gavin.

He pushed KJo on the button in a HU match while he has almost twice his opponants stack!? Given the blinds, there is $150 in the pot and villain only has $1000 left. I'm ashamed.

Oh wait, now that I think about it... completely standard.

no, i understood that gavin had 1900. effective stacks were only 1100 tough, meaning he would be priced in to call a shove. assuming he makes a standard open raise to 300, gavin will be getting 1400:800 odds to call when his opponent shoves, or 1.75:1. this means that he can profitably call with any hand that has at leat 36.4% equity against villain's range. if we assume a very reasonable shoving range of {22+,A2+,KQ}, KJo has nearly 39% equity, so it's definitely a call.

gavin knows all this and realizes that given he's gonna be getting all in anyway if villain doesnt fold, it's a better play to maximize fold equity and just shove. his biggest mistake imo was not sucking out
