seriously guys, what the fuck are you doing playing online microstakes. I don't want to sound cocky or arrogant, but it's so much easier live. Maybe it's because I pay more attention live also...

maybe I'm just a solid poker player after all (which I am). +1200$ so far, 12 sessions , on average 4 hours each. Also, I am VERY good at reading people.

I played solid poker, again, no beats, no lucky draws, did not have very good cards, but still managed to get most value again. Superb reads, great calls.

Lol +115 for 4 hours? If your so good at your reads, you should be making far more than this. Thats hardly a living. I get bored if I don't make that in one fucking pot. You are tooting your own horn and there is no reason too. Chances are your playing against drunk hippies who saw Chris Moneymaker win however many years ago, came to the casino to play slots and then heard an announcment that a Texas Holdem Table was open. So they waddled their drunk fat asse to the table and sat next to you. Played a bunch of rag hands. Your cool.

The people who play online microstakes here play fucking like 1,000 tables at once, something I cannot do and respect very much the people that can.

AND ftw, online poker is ALOT harder to beat than live poker. Even in vegas, the amount of donkey's is just rediciulous. Your playing like what 1/2? Play some 50/100 and make some reads.

Superb Reads, Good Calls or prehaps some luck, some good cards, and the other players had no idea what they were doing.

1rst) you are an idiot if you play microstakes when you can play 1$-2$ for 1/10th of the skill of the 50¢-1$ online and even 10¢-25¢. You are probably around 19-23 y old without a car and maybe a part time job cleaning restaurant floors. You are also an idiot if you do not know that live and online poker are 2 different things. You should read Roy Rounder on this.

2nd) I don't live from poker. I play once a week, about 5h. And I average at least 100$ per session. 100/5 = 20$/hour. I'm begging for the guys here that play online microstakes give a shot at live play and see their profit rise like hell. I ALWAYS ALWAYS say that live poker is MUCH MUCH easier than online poker. I'm just smart enuff to not waste my time playing 1¢-2¢ when I can play 1$-2$.

3rd) If the 3rd of the players are idiots, why bother playing with a table full of strong players ? It does not matter if you are the 9th best player in the world if the 8 first are sitting at your table

4) You probably know everything about point 1-2-3 and yet you still play microstakes

NO sir, I don't play micro stakes.

I play NL400, but haven't for about two weeks online. And yes, I only play 1 or 2 tables at a time, That is why I have respect for players who can/do multi-table.

I've grinded 1/2 and 2/5 NL live games for a year and a half. They're definitely easy to beat, but the donkeys can frustrate even the most unflappable player at times. Factor in the higher % rake and the tips and I think you'll find it hard to do more than tread water (hard to build up a BR if you're paying rent/expenses from your 1/2 winnings).

PS, if you're taking your entire BR to a 1/2 or 2/5 table, you won't last a month (probably not even a week). One monster hand when your nuts get neutered and your busto... Of course telling you this won't stop you. I think everyone has to go bust for themselves. Hopefully you learn after the 1st time instead of turning into a degen...

yeah but consider:

1) most dont live in front of the casino, it may take several hours to even get there

2) the swings can be larger than what your BR can handle

3) you may just want to learn poker, and online is perfect for that
