The general (maybe conservative) idea is to have 40 buy-ins for SNG and MTT. So around $240 for you. I would also get some more opinions other than mine

I'd say 40-50 buy ins for SNGs

if u are me you'd only need 1 buy in
but since you are you, I'd say $300 should be enough.

I think 100+ buy ins would be for higher stakes.
if your ROI is like %12-18 your gunna be powning them hard on a consistent basis.

maybe mix in 3$ and 6$

well i have 302 dollars at the moment, but i think ill hit 350 then move up as i know id probably tilt if i lost a few $6 tables and went to 250 dollars. Every 100 dollar is kinda like a psycholigal barrier ( yes i know my spelling is terrible),

Know ive said all this ill probably hit a terrible downswing and go back down to 200 dollars, o well .

you don't have to "make the move" up and never play $3.40's again

I'd say just try a couple $6.50's and see how they go. You're not going to magically lose $100 unless you never make it in the money 15 consecutive times. The $6.50's aren't really hard. The only difference I'd say from the $3.40's there is is that there's a few better players, of course, but mainly people are generally better at playing tight in the early stages. A lot of people still have trouble adjusting to shorthand play though, and you see some real monkeys when it gets heads up sometimes still.

There's really not a hard and fast number, it depends on your style of play.

I'd say at least 75 BIs for the turbos. The swings are enormous. I went on a 20+ downswing at the beginning of '07 but my ROI% was around 15% so it was just variance.

It happens and it's a bitch...especially at the turbos.
