Default pokerstars bonus

So i was bored tonight and decided to deposit $50 on ps, when i got a message that they are doing a deposit bonus. The catch is you have to get 5 times the bonus amount in fpps before they release it. So i decided to deposit enough to get the maximum bonus ($600 deposit for $120 bonus) and now im grinding it out at 4 1/2 tables. I have been playing for an hour now, and only have 40 fpps. Should i just quit now, it is going to take so long to get 600 fpps. Or is there a better game to play to get fpps. Don't know exactly how the system works, but i have definitly played morre then 40 raked hands.

you only get an fpp when the rake goes over $1. i know in no limit games this is in a $20 pot; i would guess this generalizes to other games but i don't know for sure. their website explains this sort of stuff though.

From what I've learned about PS, unless your play mid-high limit, Its really tough to bonus whore on PS. You should really think of their FPP bonus system of a long term player bonus.

But the bonus never expires so there is no reason, not to get it.

See here for fpp's info: http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp.html

Another thing, I think you need to have a FPP BALANCE in your bank, just not accumulate that much. So dont go playing WSOP FPP sats or whatever with your FPP's until you've cleared it. Unless you want to, because they never expire, and you can have multiple bonuses pending.

I am pretty sure that you are wrong Marm. There is a "bonus status screen" that says how many fpps you have collected and its very unlikely that they will lower fpps from that screen.

the trick to FPPs in PokerStars is play heads up tournaments! I can easily make 300 - 500 FPPs in an hour playing heads up!
