It just might be that if you find somebody you like (a girl or boy if you are a homo), it will take much more place in your life then thinking about should I call fold raise. You'll play a game, but a different one like "Will she call or not ? Should I call her back first" and some other silly but fun stuff. I'm pretty sure you will be able to use your poker skills in different aspects of life.

I was mentionning the girlfriend thing because before I had one, I felt lonely on sunday's, sitting on my computer, or just doing nothing this that or that day, seing noone, etc and haviong too much to think about.
It might be also that you live with your parents. That's another "issue" you may want to check out. Living without your parents = FREEEEEDDDOOOOMMMMM.

This may seem simplistic but ask yourself the question "Am I happy?" (and also "Is my current conduct going to keep me happy (i.e. not go broke)?" If the answer is yes then I wouldn't worry about feeling guilty or waste of time or anything like that, much of life is about enjoying enjoyment.
If the answer is no then it's a more complex situation, you may just need a break plus you'd want to consider what are the alternatives. What I wouldn't do is do what others are doing just because they are doing it; for example, having a steady girlfriend/wife can be great if it's the right person but being in a committed relationship could also be a nightmare if it's not the right person.

That's a very good attitude in my view. What could mess up your life is to do truly harmful things like getting messed up with the law, with drugs, with alcohol, getting into huge debt, etc. Many people don't have a focus in their life for a long time. As long as you aren't doing those really harmful things and are not setting yourself up to run out of money then you should be okay until you find something which clicks for you, whether it's poker or something else which comes up.

there are already like a million post on here, so i'm sure someone has already suggested this, but if you don't like playing or if it is exhausting you then just a break for a week and if you want to play after that then play. unless of course it is a large portion of your income then you might not have a choice.
