Default Poker Tracker Use

I've been using PT for a couple weeks now and have close to 2k hand histories. My question is regarding the use of PT and GT with micro limit (for me: .01/.02). I know I have read in previous posts that these two won't help too much, but I am finding it somewhat useful to help read a few players, and I am wondering if I am putting too much faith in it?

Here is an example:
I am in SB with AKo and a MP player raises to 5BB, everyone folds to me, and I wasn't sure what to do, so I ended up folding. The player's VP$IP was 9% with PFR% of 5%. This, however, is only based on 41 hands, with no known starting hands.

Is it wise to be using these stats with so few samples, and if so, what would be a good number before you can identify the extreme cases (real tight or real loose). I don't see, at these limits, PT/GT being so useful for the inbetween players (at these micro limits), but I would like some thoughts on it.

Thanks
-cj

If a player's VPIP after 41 hands is 9% and his PFR% is 5%, you know that he's UBER-tight. He's been in 4 hands in almost an hour and has raised PF in 3 of them. This is a good fold by you. He's gotta have AA, KK, or QQ, though he could have AK. Too marginal for you to call considering that you're gonna win less than you lose. This could get very expensive for you.

the best you can hope for is a split pot... but a lot worse can happen...

Stay out of marginal plays

I too use PT and GT+ on the micros, (I only had $2 in my PS account, ground that upto $30 so far, yeah) I mainly play the .05/.10 limit there, and 4+ table, so I need the data that they give me. Anytime I get raised into, I check their stats and decide if a reraise for value is called for. On 90% of the players, reraising (Or whatever over-aggressive play I'm making) is usually +EV, since they have VPIP's >40%, WSD >40%, and W$SD <33%, and rating their aggression factor vs these stats. Now you do ncounter the occasion rock or TAA, and those guys you need to give respect to.
