Default NJ Lawmaker makes trouble

A NJ Lawmaker is trying to charge ESPN, Bravo, Travel Channel and others who broadcast poker a fee to pay for "problem gamblers"

The Bergen County Democrat says she would seek a surcharge
on cable providers if the networks don't cooperate.

These tools will try and tax ANYTHING.

Rob

Could we please tax American Idol so that I'm free from all these "problem singers" in my bar on karaoke night?

Wait, doesnt NJ already tax the AC casinos? Is that like double double jepoardy or something? Making people pay tax for the same thing twice?

But they're not taxing the casinos, they're taxing the networks

As a proud member of the Garden State may I point out the following...

a) What other state can brag a Governer who appointed his gay foreigner lover head of Home Security?
b) Has every tax producing vehicle known to government (casinos, horse racing, income taxes... all but Jai Alai and Dogs) and still runs at a deficit.

When the rest of you all going to get with it?
