this part made me laugh:

For instance, not seeing your opponents, nor perhaps even knowing who they are has great appeal for some players. As Paul Newman once said: “If you are in a game of poker and you look round the table and haven’t figured out who the sucker is... then it’s you!”

Interesting, I'd heard that quote attributed to the movie Rounders. Sounds more Paul Newman-ish to me. Maybe in The Sting?

Um, ok, I'm topic drifting...

FYI...North Dakota state legislature has a bill pending that would enable the state to license online poker gaming sites. Its passed the house and is in a hell of a fight in the senate right now but is expected to narrowly squeeze through. No word on what the governor will do if presented with the legislation.

Even if passed, then there's a heck of a fight in store with the feds over interpretations of the Federal Wire Act, but I, for one, would openly welcome a legal licensed internet poker site here in the United States as opposed to having to entrust my money in Costa Rica or something.

I guess this will be a hot topic for discussion amongst all the laywers in Dakota at their weekly poker night...
