What about a hand like A288 where the flop is 268? do you call a bet there?

Boy that is horrible.

I think I would rather raise than bet, but I would hate to give a free card. With a raise you may be able to drive out a straight draw that didn't have a good low.

thats what most people would do, I'd be on check and fold myself. you're actually the one who needs the free card in this situation. trying to win 1/2 a pot with this hand is a bad idea. if you raise to eliminate people you end up heads up playing against a free wheeling low, you only get your money back. I'd just fold and move on unless of course I get a free card and fill up.

I was thinking about that, you are only getting half of what ever is in the pot right now, and your opponent is free rolling to beat you.

I have seen stranger things happen though. you could have some moron with A26 and who knows what still stay in the games I play.

I am not good enough to fold top set yet, but I would be hating myself on every street.

a good rule in O8 is fold a set or a striaght when there are 3 low cards on the flop and you have no realistic shot at low

Is this really similar to our previous situation? I would have to think that I'd rather check/call than bet/raise. I'd only fold if I was heads up and we're talking about crowded pots here.

it is exactly the same as our previous situation.

these are the hands that good players will leak money away on. Omaha 8 might be the only game where it is sometimes correct to fold a flopped nut hand
