Default Long Time Lurker, Hello Everyone

I been lurking here for month's learning about poker before I actually played besides the play money games which as I expected are nothing like the real cash games. Anyways I made my 1st deposit 2 weeks ago of 200$ on bodog which was 216$ after western Union. I did bankroll management that I learned from this forum started at NL10 until I hit 550$ which I hit in about 4 days then I moved to NL 25 and got up to 750$ when I decided to do a 20+2 buy in tourny which I ended up winning for 2400$ 1st place. So after this win I started playing NL100 I kept losing buy-ins went from 3,000$ to 2000$ at 1 point coudnt hit a flop and if I did someone hit a bigger hand. I began to lose my confidence but I didnt feel that I was playing bad or just unlucky 2 a extent. Took a break for 2 days and came to the conclusion that I can beat this game.

So I began playing and came across the most rewarding hand that I have experienced in my short poker career, I was in Middle postion with Suited Q/J I raised to 4$ and the bigblind reraised it to 8$ so it was 4$ for me to call.
I decided I wanted to see a flop since we both had 140bb and this was a good hand that I could flop a monster or make a monster 2 stack him.

Flop Came Q/Q/A rainbow, I started 2 lick my chop's and said please have A/k, he checks I bet 12$ he calls, turn was 4, I beT 20$ he pushes all in and for some reason I felt he had A/A, typed in the chat box " This is the biggest laydown Im ever gonna make please show me your hand" and I folded and he promptly showed me A/A I was so fucking happy.

From that point on I built my bankroll to its current peak of 3200$.

Welcome. Instead of playing based on how much money you have, solely, just play NL25 as long as you have $700 for a set amount of hands like 25k hands. Switching games too much is high variance when you're treating it like a video game i.e. "I beat Level I, so now I play Level II until I beat it."

That's a really good point, never thought about it like that. Ill think about it hard 2 leave the nl100 games just because I like the way I focus and people actually play like it's a real game.

Welcome to the forums.

I've been basically doing the same thing as you (lurking), except I joined thinking I knew everything to know about poker then. Been playing on and off since then but now I'm playing a lot and will probably post here more to get advice/criticism.
