Multi-tabling - I suck at it
I've generally played just the 1 table at a time since I started playing poker about 18 months ago. I don't know what it is but I just can't seem to multi-table, my concentration goes and I end up rushing decisions and, alot of the time, I get them wrong.
Does anyone else have this inability to multi-table or do I just suck? If I could learn to do this properly (cash games) I could massively increase my poker profits, what's the best way of going about this? Should I sit on 4x NL5 tables and just practice until I get the hang of it?
I'm mainly playing on UB but really don't like the mini-view feature they have. Any UB multi-tablers have some tips for me?

Are you using PT or Poker Office? I know I'd have no chance of multitabling if I wasn't using PT.

I thought I was the only person with this problem!!
I can't multi-table for the life of me, mainly for the same reasons that you mention. I just about always screw up in a massive pot that I think I would have avoided if I was just on that one table.
I've been playing for about 18 months also and still class myself as a noob really. I haven't played 100'000's of hands like some people that have been playing for a similar length of time to me. I'm still trying to improve my hand-reading, player-reading and develop my own style / strategies. I think until I get more experience then I'm probably better off playing a single table.

I've got both, and it helps but I still rush into things and don't consider the odds carefully enough, get stressed when 3 tables are flashing at the same time then fuck it all up, gg.

2-table NL10 until you feel comfortable. Then, go with 3 tables and when you're comfortable bring it up to NL25. Play 3 or 4 depending on your alertness. Sometimes, only two are right. I like to start on 3-4 and open another site to add tables as the session goes along.

As far as cash games and SNG's, I tend to suffer when playing more than 2 tables. MTT's however, I've played up to 5 at once before and done ok, its weird.

Give me a few more hundred logged...and I bet I could keep up with an ROI of +5%. All SNGs come down to is push/fold.

The problem I find is:
I do ALOT better when I am really zero'd in on each players moves according to the cards showing. When I day dream I find I dont get to know how each player really plays and therefore I have to play my cards not the players. Same is true when I play multi tables. I just cant get to know the style of the players.
