Default AA vs KK

AA vs KK preflop.

The endless discussion hand. I got all in pre with it last night, only to lose to a river K.

Which happens, but it's back to the question......when is KK no good preflop.

Assuming you are not up against a total donkey.

In this hand the villian limped with his KK. I was in the SB and bet about double the pot. $400 buy in game he had about $300, I was over $400. So I made it about 20.

He then jumped it to 60ish.

The limp/raise.......9 out of 10 means the guy has a monster right....and almost every decent player realizes this.

So knowing that, and him knowing that I know that.......I bump it up 100 more. He pushed all in. I called, river K, end of story.

I told the guy nice read, I might have had KJoff, pushing in a 3rd bet preflop (sarcasticly)

Then another player asked if I've ever folded it preflop. I have.....only a few times. I usually don't put in a 4th raise preflop with it. I got bumped today, saw a flop. AQ flop.....about the only hands someone will reraise with (AK, AA, QQ) are covered so I bailed. I was 90% sure the guy had AA, 10% on QQ, AK.......

When is KK no good?
For guys who never fold it........do you feel good putting it all in, in the situation I described and lost?

For instance.....what would you put me on?

You limp/raise....telling me you have a monster.......I then reraise you.
What do you think I have?

Or do you just call because it's KK and you have to call?

Don't get me wrong I don't fold KK regularly......but when you reraise someone....and they push in another big bet..........when I play it I don't have a great feeling.

Again this is taking out playing total donks. The guy in this situation has seen me play.

Regardless of what skill level he thinks I am......he knows I'm not a total donk.

So what hand do you put me on in this situation?
Do you still play your KK all in for 320ish?

Hi,

I think for the first time in my life yesterday I folded KK preflop. I raised heavy and an ultra tight after me got into a raising war with a lag- I had 200 hands + on both. The tight had a vpip of 15 with a pfr of 2% and I was deep.. it went to sd- and yes the nit had them. - the lag had AQ!.... saved me $50...

A lot of raising means the hands you decsribed - a weak flop usually means your stacked
