online reads?

what are the best online tells?

almost anytime a player uses the "chat features" during a hand you can pick up good information

its a big mistake for newer players.

you can spot betting patterns.

i go with my "gut" a lot.....based on how good of a player im against, what they bet, what my pot odds are, etc.

anyone else have any good online tells?

Online tells are a farce in most cases. I love how caught up people get with the timing tell...especially when they don't realize they're playing against a multi-tabler where everything is random.

Play 4-8 tables, load up your HUD or PO overlay, and rake in the dough.

there is no timing tell.........

i play up to 10 tables at a crack
so the timing doesn't work

There is A timing tell...it's just pretty rare.

And if you're playing 10 tables, what are you even worrying about tells for?

I've always found an insta-check to be a pretty good sign of weakness. Especially on the bb when he checks the flop to you in a nano-second. Apart from that you have to be careful unless you know that they aren't multi-tabling (which you can't really, they could be on different sites for all you know).

I would also have to say there are some timing tells out there, I would go so far as to say I have used them in some cases to build a pot.

This is a general rule I use, and it will vary from player to player so you have to be observant, but generally instant calls and bets that look planned usually are, the instant calls I find usually mean the villian is on some form of a drawand doesnt care about the pot odds and will run it down. The instant bets are similiar, the bets that just look like a planned bet that come out super quick usually mena they have something and I proceed with caution.

An example when i use this is when I flop trips and on a drawy board trying to make it out like I am plying the draw rather, I have to say it work against alot of the lower limit opponents quite well and but multi tabler's arent always watching so i find it -EV to try and run it vs someone I know is multi tabling heavily.

im not worried about tells, to the guy above. i was just curious what people thought on this

just making conversation, which i thought was what a forum was for.

i do take back my timing tell (saying there isn't)........insta checks are a good one. so are really fast raises or bets. but overall it can be hard to tell
