Hi ive been playing on the 0.50 £1 tables on William Hill and in December got a Rake Bake bonus from them. I didnt apply for it through anouther website it was just given to me. My friend however who plays on the same site and stakes recieved nothing. Should i just expect rake back every month from now on? Or should i still join a website. What should my friend do. Im new to all this rake back stuff.

What site was it that you received rakeback from? You normally have to sign up with the site's bonus code in order to receive rakeback, notify them that you signed up and provide your screen name, and also negotiate how your money will be deposited.

I'm really surprised that you would receive it unprompted. When you signed at the site, did you enter any sort of bonus code at all?

Also, most rake back sites require that you not have a preexisting real money account, so your friend may be SOL.

There's a few rake back ads on this forum, raketherake being a good one.

Was it definitely a rakeback bonus? Or was it the monthly bonus you get for playing 5 hours there.

If it was rakeback, then as Wastrel correctly points out, you would normally have had to sign up through an affiliate.

If you have inadvertently clicked a banner and ended up through an affiliate, then you might be lucky enough to continue to get rakeback on a monthly basis. However some affiliates submit lists of payments to the poker room of those accounts than need to be rebated.

There is no point in joining a site unless you know which one is giving you rakeback. As Wastrel also points eloquently points out your friend can't get rakeback on his existing account. They can however sign up with another skin on the same network and get rakeback that way.

Well i was looking at my statement on the 05/01/2007 under the transaction page it says in caps -- RAKE BACK DECEMBER £32. Ive never recieved rakeback befor it was only after i joined the £0.50 £1 tables that i got it. I never requested it but im glad i gat it hehe.


I emailed them about it to see if i would contiue to get it but they havent relyed. Do you think i will recieve it on a monthly basis? Or should i allpy with a rake back site , does this mean i would have to create a new poker account to do that?
