Ok folks, need some feedback and advice. I'm always looking to improve my NL play. I recently came across a site in which there are a few pro's that offer to coach you and give you advise on your play, for a fee. Anyone ever thought of it? Tried it? Do you think it's worth the money?
To give you a bit of background, I've read 4 or 5 poker books, read forums daily, use Pokertracker (but don't have a clue about it), have PokerAcehud overlay etc. Not sure if a "one on one" would be beneficial or not. What do you think?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

it could easaily be worth the money if the pros were good and you listened to them.

I don't think so. It involves much work and id rather use some software as Pokertraker or other if I have to listen to others.

If you've seen them play before, try to get some coaching off a player whose strategies and play you want to emulate. Everyone has a different style and they won't all be suitable for you.
As far as the question of is it worth it goes, if you can pick up any kind of useful info that'll help you cash in that big tourney or stop yourself from tilting off 10% of your BR then it'll easily be worth it. Think of it as an investment, it'll pay itself back later IMO

Doesn't sound like too bad an idea but it might be worth trying to get to grips with PokerTracker first, you might be surprised by how much you will learn about your game from that!

I think it's a good idea to start out with a membership in one of the sites that offers instructional videos, Cardrunners seems to be the most populair one.
