Default How do you get over bad beats/tilt?

Just wondered how different people get over bad beats/tilt?

ive found that im slowly becoming hardened to this aspect of the game. If i get real tilted i can walk away far easier than i used to now, where as before i would be more likely to go above my bankroll and take a shot.

I generally tend to throw stuff (small things like rubber balls) and then bitch about it over IM to Alex or someone else.

I would suggest making sure you always have a girlfriend/wife/blow-up-doll to help you with this issue.

Takes your mind off of the bad beats and once you get back to the table you are far more relaxed. Works a treat!

You just have to get used to it...if it wasn't for bad beats only good poker players would play poker and we'd all be broke...

There is no such thing as a bad beat.

it's part of the game . i hate getting rivered . when i do . sometimes i want to jump through the screen . here's a hand that my buddy wanted to slit his throat . litterally...

he was playing 2/4 NL
He had about 500, other guy about the same ... he gets dealt pocket AA's... flop comes A A 7s (preflop he raised about 25$). He checks guy raises 30, hero reraises to 60, guy calls, next card came was a 9s.. hero checks, guy raises 30, he doubles him to 60, guy calls, river comes a 5s or the 10s . i dont remember what one.. anyways ... he had 8 6 spades . ... lost his bankroll... and never has been back to online poker... i dont blame him
