Is it the same?

I dont understand... i play 5/10 and 10/20 at the local casino, and i usually rip it up... but when i play online, i always lose... i dont understand this... if someone can maybe let me know of why this could be?

usually the players are weaker at the casino cause 5/10 is one of the lower limits, where those same players who'd be playing 5/10 at the casino are playing .50/1 online.

Perhaps you depend so much on physical tells for your reads on your opponents, that you find yourself handicapped when all you've got is a bunch of pixellated avatars to look at.

yea that's what im thinking as well . that i need the tells there . i find it hard to pick up tells online . so it kinda sucks .

Limit's so mechanical that it's more just the people you're playing. You're gonna find better players at 1/2 online than 10/20 live. That trickles down.

well . i dunno . i love my cardroom poker... i find it much better . i can't make any money playing online . it friggen sucks . but playin live . i can spot fish/tight everything . know what they are holding... bah.... i want to be good at online poker so i can do it from home

The biggest problem that people have with playing online has little to do with it being online, but that they can't play at home because of other distractions. These distractions take away from the ability to pick up the patterns necessary to be a winning player. It's also easier to treat it as a video game and forget that it's real money.
