so here I am sick on a Friday night at the frat house. I decided play in one of Earth Poker's freerolls. 61 people have entered and right now I am a half hour into the tourney and there are 40 people left. Current Position 1/40.

Some things I have noticed:
The other players are extremely weak. Easily the worst players I have EVER played against, online anyways.
The Earth Poker system is way too elementary for me. EP made AP look like Poker Stars.
The gameplay is also sometimes VERY laggish (I am running comcast highspeed off of a dell with a gig of ram)
Too many people time out.
EP uses 10 person tables for their tournies. I am not the biggest fan of 10 person tables but I can forgo that.


So far I can't stand EP and I give it a 1 out of 10.
I will update more as the tourney rolls on.

A few more dislikes to add:
If you hit fold by mistake even if no one has bet, your hand is folded then and there. I found that one out when I flopped trips nines and hit fold instead of check.
Also when at showdown you have to click the "show cards" or your hand is mucked even if you loose. My boat got mucked and the other person showed two pair. Now is that the fucking stupidest thing you have ever heard of?

Anyways I am 1/32 with a little over 10k in chips

no, what I am saying is that even if you win the hand you must click show cards are else you will lose no matter what...

I also want to mention that even if you sit out and are in the BB, your cards are kept until the river unless someone bets. Meaning that you can win that goes to the river, even if you sit out. Also when you are blinded out this happens. So technically, someone sitting out could double up everytime they get blinded all in. This happened several times.

Down to final 8 (9 make money) and I am 4/8 with over 15k.

I lost one hugggggeeee pot to a major suckout which would have given me 30k and a monster chip lead. At the time I was 1 out of about 25 and I had 18k in chips. I get 10 9 in the BB. UTG, 4th position and Button limp in. SB folds and I check. Flop comes J87 rainbow and I check looking to trap. UTG and P4 check. Button Moves all in fior his ~12k and I call. UTG and P4 fold quickly. At this point I was a huge favorite as Button only had J3 unsuited. Luck would not come my way as the turn came a 7 and the river came a 7. Button went on to bust out 15 minutes later after getting up to 26k in chips. As I said before, these are the worst people who I have ever played against online.

Now I really hate this place:
Twice in the last 10 minutes the system made everyone automatically fold when it was their turn to act. First hand I had AQ and second I had JJ. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before???

I win a hand with a king high straight for 6150 and for the next minute, the server automatically folds everyone's cards and say I win with a king high straight for 6150...

I do play at PS all the time but felt like giving this place a try.

ok so I got really fed up with constant glitches that I could not handle it anymore and finally keep going all in when we got down to 3 people. For all intensive purposes it was heads up because the server kept disconnected CL and CL's browser kept turning all white. I finally wound up in 3rd place taking home a whooping $12. I will keep you all updated with my endeavors to attempt on cashing out and what not.
