Default SnG hand

5 left, I am the CL with about 4500, most of the others have around 2k-ish.

I have on the button and limp in for 100, four see the flop. Pot 400

Flop is

The SB bets 600 and has about 1400 left, it folds to me.

???

tough decision, depends on the other players.

If the table as a whole is aggressive I would fold and let them knock each other out.

If they are passive, I'm more inclined to semi bluff reraise here. maybe 600 more hoping to get it checked to me on the turn if he calls and I miss.

The flop is about as good as you could have hoped for. I don't like the limp if I'm honest.

It's either reraise or fold I think.

Awkward situation.

What don't you like about limping on the button with Q9s five handed? It was hard to get these guys to fold after they put money in the pot, so a raised didn't seem positive. But against 3 opponents with 20xBB stacks, seemed worth a flop.

This is one of the few hands I have played that I really had to think about in some time.

It had not been very aggressive, so his good sized bet in 1st positions really made me pause.

I realize that this flop is good, I just couldn't decide the risk vs. reward here.

I had most of these guys out chipped 2:1. I had 44x the BB, folding wouldn't really hurt me, winning would give me a stronger position, but is it that much stronger? Losing it would suck.

I went ahead and folded, if I raised, I would be forced to call an all-in and it seemed a little much to flat call.

This is very ROUGH and probly wrong in more ways than one, but it shows you're about even money or a slight dog to have the best hand here.

You're probly getting about 2400:600 or 6:1 in implied odds here if you think you'll win his stack when you hit fourth, thats good enough to play for a card on the flush draw

I like a raise here too though, there's a decent chance he is bluffing(even into the field) and even if he's not you're Q is probly live too.

yeah, that is about right, but just want do you want to see on the turn?

Blinds were only 50/100, so if the flush hit, he may freeze up. If I had A9, I would have been more willing to call I think.

It is still down to what does winning get me vs what does losing cost me.

I probably would have taken this in a cash game, or some MTT situations.

Im folding preflop but raising on the flop

Winning and folding aren't likely to greatly affect your tournaman results, just one of those hands to increase a little.

the more i think about this the more I lean toward folding and moving on, I don't want to lose 1/4 of my stack chasing a hand I probably should have folded preflop.
