Default You vs. Sklansky

Beavis brought this up in another thread and i thought it would be worth elaborating on.

Here's the setup;

You are playing limit hold em and lo and behold who sits at your table but David Sklansky! upon taking his seat he says, "I am going to play exactly, EXACTLY, like my book Hold Em Poker for Advanced Players".

A hand comes up where Dave raises from Under The Gun and everyone folds to you in the cutoff with what do you do?

now judging from his book Dave's raising standards here would be TT and better for pairs, AQ, AK, and sometimes 99, AJs, and KQs.

you already answered this, and your restrictions are even tighter here.

Lets move on to more limit hands.

but I wanted to change the restrictions later in the thread, to see if it changed anyones mind.

I guess I'll have to do it now!!! thanks Beavis.

What if Dave will raise 88-AA AJ, AQ, AK, KQs, ATs, and some random suited connector?

Does this change your mind

That still only puts a few hands out of all possible that you dominate.

Depends on how random the SC are, and how much of a mental battle you are up for.

Do we think this will be heads-up?

Definitely don't call, you need to raise if you are going to play and try to establish dominance and make him fear your position.

But this is out of my realm.

point 1 - any random one from 45-JT but you don't know which one.

point 2 - that is more up to what you do, but say 50/50 if you call.

point 3 - I agree that IF you are going to play this you should pop it.

What hand do you want to discuss next?

T5o you can make the most straights and the most flushes with it!

How about JTs and JTo.

Probably one the most overplayed of the marginal hands.

What I really meant was, it depends on how often he will do this, not sure what a significant frequency would be though.
