I tried multi-tabling earlier in my poker career but found it to be a little overwhelming for me while I was trying to learn the game. So I gave up on it for awhile and would always just play a single table.
Well yesterday I decided to give it a try again and I can't tell you how much it will improve my cash game. I was up $30 at the $0.10 tables in a couple of hours playing 3 tables. See, my biggest weakness is boredom. I found playing 1 table was getting really boring and before long I would start to get reckless. I would limp often from any position with a variety of different hands, I would bluff a lot more than I should have been, things like that. Yesterday I just played solid poker, waited patiently for the right spots and found it a lot easier to do because I wasn't getting bored.
We'll see how it goes tonight but I really think this will help improve my play.

Why did I wait so long to start multi-tabling?

Totally agree. When I first started multi-tabling I found it hard to keep up with. I think the key is getting good enough at the game first, once this happens you can easily multi-table. In cash games I 4-Table and in STTs I usually 2 table as they require a bit more concideration.

Do you use a tracking software when playing? That sure makes multi tabling a lot easier. I played several tables without a software for quite a while and then I got Poker Office and it sure makes things easier when it comes to getting a read on opponents.

Does Poker Office cost money though for the key?

Like Lamby100 said, you can get it for free through some promotions. My friend got it when signing up to Partypoker and I think that's the easiest one.

Last night I was multitabling on 3 tables again, this time using PT. I was up 200/bb in about 2.5 hours.
I'm just playing solid, smart poker. I wasted so much time and money trying to get fancy. It's like I knew what I was supposed to do in most situations but I did the opposite. What the hell was I thinking?

I hear ya. I used to play 1 or 2 tables but got realy bored of it. Now I'm playing 4 tables PRIMA playing $0.5/$1 NL and I'm making $25 per hour ($6 rakeback!).
