So many times in the past I have logged into Pokerstars at 1am after a rowdy night of drinking and from what I've seen so far, this appears to be a -EV situation. I usually become aggressive to a fault and wind up donking off a couple of buy ins. Well last night I found a solution that allows me to play poker when I'm intoxicated yet is not detrimental to my BR........limit hold'em.

Last night I logged into UB after coming home from the bar and inadvertently joined a limit cash game. I was winning more pots than I could count with my drunken aggression and the pots that I lost didn't really cost me much anyways.

So for all the No Limit Hold'em players out there that want to play drunk, please play safe......play limit.

When I am really drunk I like to buy in to the lowest buy in limit game with the max alowed. Something about sitting down in a game with $1000 when the average stack is $2.20 amuses my stupid drunken brain. I then sit and talk shit to everyone and cap every street of every hand until I pass out. This usually costs me about $2 and is far preferable to pissing away about $500 trying to play my normal game.

I still refuse to post detailed stats. I don't know why. I think I'm just paranoid that in this new age of poker, too many people seem to know too much about hand-by-hand play as it is. Now, there are these tournament trackers and what was a cool, little sneaky tool in Poker Tracker is used by everyone I sit with when I'm taking it seriously.

I'm really starting to hate it. It's taking away from the game, IMO. Wota said last night while we were fuckin' around on a penny table something about how this might mess up his stats. The fact that this enters our heads while we're supposed to be having fun at a penny table disturbs me a bit- not only in general, but I see it in myself at times as well.
