Default Wish me luck

I'm playing a home game tonight, it's only a £10 buy in which is about the same as my usual $22 SnG so it doesn't really matter where I come in it.

However, everytime we play, I get beaten by the same player. He is a good player, very aggressive and rarely shows anything down.

Twice I have been heads up with him, the first time he did my TT with QJo by hitting 4 spades to match with his J of spades.

The other time was A8 against A9 with an ace on board. Heads up I'm going broke on that everytime, especially against him as he's so aggressive.

The only time I have taken him out was in the first hour o fone of our games when we play re-buys so that was really annoying as he just bought back in.

I'm sure it's my turn to get a bit of luck tonight so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Also any tips for not playing scared or trying too hard to get someone who is a bit of a nemesis against you?

Just remember that it's only £10, so play fearless. It's only your pride on the line, and not significant money. I'm not saying play stupid, but don't be afraid to get your chips in the middle if you feel you have the best hand.

From my experience of home games (if you play with the same people week in week out) there is nothing worse than one guy constantly taking you out. If you play a bit tighter against him and make sure you only show down the best hand with him, it should improve your confidence a bit and you won't be so intimidated. Is he generally the best player in the group? If so, i would say don't get involved too much with him early on and try to pick up some tells to help you in the latter stages.

good luck!

i find emotion comes into live poker much more than online so i just try to see them as i see online, names on a screen that i take stats on. Dont feel pride coems into any of your plays, play as you would online. From what youve told me you have a winning formulae so why change it?

Always always play from the small blind heads up.
