What's with players min-betting into a big pot on the flop? UB seems to just have a ton of players who think this is a good idea while I hadn't really seen anyone doing it at stars or pokerroom. And the best part, I find that most of the time when you raise them, they fold like a cheap suit.

Anyone have any idea what the hell they're thinking?

iv done this before. Like bet 10% into a big pot on riv. ( i guess its better than chek/folding no?)

but yeah, when the bet hard on flop /turn/ and then bet like 1% pot on river, its almost an auto raise regardless of what you have. the will dump it sometimes.

Some people use it as a blocking type bet, some people use it when they flop the nuts/near nuts to keep people around. The blocking thing works sometimes it sometimes forces people to give their hands away and the original bettor gets the info for cheap.

The only time I ever do it is when the stupid slider on Party get so freaking annoying that I just can't bet the amount I want

The other thing that is my freaking pet peeve is the auto bet pot option on Party that the fish love. 99% of the time when I see that bet, I know it means they have nothing, maybe over cards or bottom pair. I got heads up in a Party S&G today with a very tight player and I flopped a set of 3's and checked. He auto bet-pot and I knew he had nothing. Flop paired the board and gave me a full house. Check again and he auto pot bets. I reraise and he auto folds.lol
