Default Stars Software Crashes My PC

For some reason, I can't play at PokerStars anymore. Everytime I load their software and select a table, windows gives me a good ol' blue screen of death, performs a physical memory dump and then reboots.

The details from the blue screen error seems to point towards some kind of hardware issue (RAM, maybe Vid card) but the only time I get the error is when I'm trying to play on stars. I've uninstalled/reinstalled stars and have completed a reinstall of windows (not a full format/reinstall, just a repair installation.) I'm going to be doing a full install shortly as I've been planning to for awhile but I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced similar issues and/or had any suggestions.

Please post the filenames involved when you bluescreen, fairly easy to figure out if you can post a pic of the bluescreen actually.

It doesn't give me any filenames but I do get the following stop error:
STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XF7B5826D, 0XEE1C9C90, 0X00000000)

I'll try and grab a screenshot the next time it happens (I'd do it right now but I'm playing a SnG on UB.)

Here's the thing, my main harddrive blew about a month ago. As a temporary solution, I installed an old 4GB harddrive and installed Windows on it. I never expected to be using it this long, so I never really applied windows/drivers updates or never installed any AV software.

Needless to say the system hasn't been running its best and I have had some issues with viruses but up until yesterday pokerstars was working fine. I'm not going to worry too much about it until I can get a new harddrive and reinstall windows but the reason I made this thread was because I had been doing some googling on the whole thing and came across another couple of forums where people had reported similar issues with the PS software. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had experienced simiar symptoms.

Jeezus..... WinXP will eat all that up in a heartbeat. 4GB's drives are onlpy good for FAT32 systems, like Win98.

I think thats your problem right there. You need to get a new HDD. I just bought a 250gb from woot.com for $50 a few months ago... spiffy. You can find similar deals all over.
