Just wondering how many people on ere really and i mean really make consistant money from playing online poker???
I have been winning for the past few months consistantly but when i first started out i lost consistantly too, got an email the other day from a gamblock thingy and it directed me to a forum on their website. Now the people on there were of a mixed opinion on online poker some claiming it to be fixed which i dont beleive it is, and others claiming it to make them lots and lots of money cuz they are so good at it. Now in order to be good at this game you must be patient right in order to get the good hands you wanna be dealt, but when these good hands you wait paitently for do not win you the money you expected them to then good players sit n wait for good cards again and this time win with them, so far this is all logic yea but in order for these people on this gamblock site to be posting on the forums they have a gambling problem right and have probably lost more than they have won, so seriously how many of you here have won more than u have lost consistantly.
Like i said i myself have built a BR of 200 bucks into a thousand cashed out 800 and started again at 200 im now on 650, all this in about 3 months.
But i admit i lost more when i first started out

3 months is still a short period of time, could just be good variance... Not saying your a net loser but make sure your happy with the majority of your plays before you deem yourself a net winner. I remember when i started i went up about 300 bucks in about 2 months, thought i was the shiznick. Was a harsh drop downwards after that.... Luckily i read a few books and people here helped me out. Think i managed to turn my play around but it took me the best part of 2 years to master the micro limits mayb im a slow learner...

I was a consistent loser for about 1.5 years with online poker and it was all because of playing WAY underrolled. I'm now at 20 BI's for $5 SnG's and will grind these out and continue moving up as time goes on. It's wonderful when you have a great couple months, I've had them, but you need to look at your winnings or losings over multitudes of thousands of hands and not time.

My learning curve was pretty steep.. Playing underrolled etc, etc... Back in the black for now, considering I dug a pretty deep hole I'd say it's a pretty good achievement...

I just cashed out the rest of my funds for now, will reload in a week or two I just have a really busy time coming up and no time to play, so I'll put the money to better use elsewhere..

I REALLY wish I had a ton of time, and about $2K now because it's the end of the quarter on Pokerstars.....

When I was playing SnGs it is all from playing.

i mean, playing micro no limit is a skill in itself. The players are looser you have to be able to sus out the people for what they are. Pokertracker and game plus are VERY HELPFUL. And micro limit players make much more mistakes. If you get good at it its a very profitable game but it takes alot of frustration playing. I myself still make too many mistakes to move up at the moment. I think the best limit i can beat is NL 25 which is okay i guess but i still have much more disciplin and experiance to learn. My aim is to build a bankroll upto around 2k and start getting regular at the NL 200 or 100 games. However still a long way to go. I think most players would agree that in order to master the game experiance is key and reveiw of play is vital.

Just becuase you can still get beat at that limit, doesn't mean you aren't beating it. You really need to look at tens of thousands (even hundreds of thousands) before you can if you are beating a limit. It's all about the long run. The 1 big loss you take every now and then is by made up for by the 3-4 smaller wins you consistently grind.
